Auto Auction Japan - How Much To Import Cars From Japan To Canada or Australia?

What are the typical prices at Japanese car auctions for say a Nissan or a Mazda?|||Popular Japanese cars imported into Australia include the following:

- Nissan Skyline GTR %26amp; GTS-T

- Toyota Supra RZ turbo %26amp; SZ non-turbo

- Nissan Silvia/180SX

- Nissan Pulsar GTI-R

- Mazda RX7 Series 7

- Delta Wagon

Price-wise, at one of the auto auctions I saw a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R (1991 make) go for a bid amount of about AUD13,000. This of course will be lower or higher based on the model, make, year and mileage and is only an estimate.

The entire process of import to delivery (including invoicing, documentation and shipping) takes about 4-5 weeks from the date of purchase. It's actually quite simple and comes with the advantage of a high performance car at a bid-based low price.

Cars get taxed up the ying yang in Japan (no pun intended). Also if the care is nearing 30,000 miles they need to replace the engine for emissions purposes. As far as the price for international cargo transportation you might want to check with vendors like Seatrade or Mitsui OSK to see what they market is doing. good luck...
