Is it really worth it to pay $250 for a dealer to take you to a auto auction?

My budget is $4k

And i need a suv

I'm afraid i might be out bid.Is it really worth it to pay $250 for a dealer to take you to a auto auction?
Dealers are not supposed to do this. But lets face it, they do it all the time.

Yes, its worth $250 if he is selling you the car at his cost. It will be much cheaper than buying at retail. Just remember that the dealer and the auction have NO connection to the car after you bid. Y ou own it, warts and all. So make sure you are getting something you like and that is dependable
No, not at all. I'm not sure if auctions work differently where you live, but at all the auction houses near where I live you just go there by yourself and bid on cars, you don't need a pay a dealer hundreds to go with you. I'd be careful of cars you find at auctions anyway, they aren't always cheaper, and they are often cars that were repossesed, and they might not have such a good history. Is it really worth it to pay $250 for a dealer to take you to a auto auction?
Really, that would be violating all action rules and that dealer would be banned from attending that auction. Dealer auctions are for dealers only.
No. Beside that you have no license to buy the car at the auction and they don't know you.Is it really worth it to pay $250 for a dealer to take you to a auto auction?
